Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of langbot.ai, the hosted Langbot feed, the hosted MCP server and related services (the "Service") operated by Langbot ("we", "us"). The SDKs and CLI are licensed under their own package licenses.

1. What the Service is

The Service delivers machine-readable events derived from public live audio and video (for example, that a phrase was spoken at a given time, with measured timestamps). The Service emits facts, not signals: it does not recommend, generate or execute trades and does not exercise discretion over any account.

2. Your agents, your keys

Any trading software you run with Langbot (including langbot run and strategies drafted with LLM assistance) runs on your machines, with credentials you control, under your sole authority and review. You are responsible for every order placed with your venue credentials and for complying with your venue's terms (including the Kalshi Developer Agreement) and applicable law.

3. Accounts and tokens

You sign in with GitHub or an emailed link. API tokens are shown once; keep them secret and revoke them if exposed. You may not share a single account across a team except on a Standard or Desk and Dedicated (Enterprise) plan.

4. Acceptable use

  • No redistribution or resale of the hosted feed outside your organization without an Enterprise license.
  • No use of the Service to trade on material non-public information or in violation of venue rules.
  • No attempts to capture raw audio or reconstruct transcripts of restricted sources from the Service; we emit derived events, and for restricted sources phrase facts only.
  • No interference with sources, listeners or other customers' subscriptions.

5. Data we redistribute

The Service delivers facts about what was said, not the expression. Each source carries a rights class. For public-domain sources (US federal proceedings) and sources Langbot has a written license for, the Service delivers the full timestamped transcript. For every other source, including issuer earnings calls and broadcaster feeds, the Service delivers phrase facts only: the matched phrase, which is the market's own term from the venue's public rules, the speaker's role, timestamps, confidence and market tickers. No transcript text and no quotation beyond the phrase is delivered for those sources, and transcript data from them is deleted after a retention period. Settled-market history is the venue's public settlement record and is redistributed as fact. Nothing the Service delivers is a trading signal, recommendation or price target.

6. Fees

Paid plans are billed as flat monthly fees; Enterprise is billed annually. We never charge per trade or based on trading volume. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Availability and latency

Latency figures on the Service are measurements, not guarantees. Sources fail, venues add delays and ASR makes mistakes. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for trading losses, missed events, false positives or downtime.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms with notice on this page. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
