Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Langbot collects when you use langbot.ai and the hosted feed.

What we collect

  • Account data from GitHub sign-in: your GitHub id, handle, email and avatar.
  • Usage data: API tokens (hashed), subscriptions, webhook URLs, request logs and agent heartbeats you choose to send.
  • Billing data is handled by Stripe; we store only your Stripe customer id and plan.
  • Cookies: a session cookie for the website (Auth.js) and lb_session for the feed API on .langbot.ai. No advertising trackers.

What we do not collect

Your venue credentials (Kalshi keys, etc.) and your strategy code never leave your machine. Hosted execution does not exist. We do not receive your orders, fills or positions unless you explicitly send heartbeats, and those contain status only.

Live audio

We listen to public broadcasts, dial-ins and webcasts. Our listeners work from in-memory buffers and do not write audio to disk; operations recordings are opt-in per run and expire with it. Audio is never redistributed.

Data we redistribute

Langbot redistributes facts about what was said, not the expression. For public-domain sources (US federal proceedings) and licensed sources, customers receive the full timestamped transcript. For restricted sources, including issuer earnings calls and broadcaster feeds, customers receive phrase facts only: the matched phrase, the speaker's role, timestamps, confidence and market tickers, with no transcript text beyond the phrase. Transcript words and text windows from restricted sources are deleted after the source's retention period (30 days by default); phrase facts are kept. Settled-market history is the venue's public record and is redistributed as fact. None of it is a trading signal.

Retention

Event archives are retained per plan (24 h / 30 d / 1 yr). Account data is retained while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request to privacy@langbot.ai.

Processors

Hosting providers for the website, the feed and the listening service; Stripe (billing); GitHub (sign-in). The current list of processors is available on request from privacy@langbot.ai.

Your rights

You may request a copy or deletion of your data at any time. EU/UK residents have the rights set out in GDPR; California residents have the rights set out in CCPA.
